Hello July!
Hello,
Summer is coming to an end. This can be seen when you have to take a jacket with you when you go out, and our warehouse just keeps getting emptier... Last week, we placed the last replenishment order for the most popular sizes of the summer collection. That's how it goes, all good things come to an end. In this post, we will go through the different parts of the design of the summer collection and take a look at autumn.
We started planning the summer collection in February, when the frost was still -30 degrees. The planning started when we decided which elements we must have in the summer collection. Birch trees, blue sky and evening sun came to mind first. After all, we didn't know until a year ago in the summer that a company might be founded the following year, so we didn't have any kind of photos. Regarding the pictures, we relied on Riku's family, where there are several people who are fond of photography. So a big thank you there - we wouldn't have these shirts without pictures!

A few things had to be taken into account when designing the collection. The photos had to be of high enough quality and it had to be possible to cut a triangle out of them. The whole had to be harmonious, but the pictures had to be impressive enough on their own. We were told in an interview with Keskisuomainen that these shirts are a bit like our children. And even though it sounds pretty silly, it's kind of true; everyone is different, but still lovable.
So the creation process itself was quite simple: we decided what we wanted and started going through the pictures. When we found something that could fit, we started composing a triangle for it. At this point, we hadn't touched Photoshop yet, so there was quite a lot to learn. At first, we also struggled with the printing house's material instructions (what the hell is an .ai file or what the hell is dpi?!) but surprisingly we got through them!
JAMK's Photoshop beginner's course gave quite a lot, as did Tarrapaida's instructions for filling out the material instructions. All in all, it took a lot of hours to decide, edit and make the pictures suitable for printing. Basically from February to the first week of June. We learned so much on the way that huhuhu! Fortunately, there was an effort in the spring to learn everything, because the design of the autumn collection has gone much slower...
S16 i.e. syssy is coming!
I mean... At the beginning of July, we got a vision of what this fall would be like. It was then already started to be sketched and outlined. Pretty soon we realized that the time until September is really limited! For the last couple of weeks, we've really only been making packages and sketches with Photar. And now we can say that the prints are finally ready! I'd really like to tell you what we have coming up for sale, but we've decided to keep our mouths shut for the time being. That's all I can suggest is that the shades become darker as autumn darkens, we stick to the nature theme and now we have something new to wear!

While waiting for the fall collection, it's a good time to clear out the online store. There won't be any more products, so if there is one piece in just my size, you should click it in the shopping cart! In this way, you can still get a little piece of summer for yourself.
Let's enjoy these summer weekends while we still can, shall we? ????????
I said,
Eve ????
