Article: Thank you, please, and Merry Christmas!

Thank you, please, and Merry Christmas!

Hello! Today was the last day of our pop-up. We managed to spend almost a month on the 1st floor of Jyväskylä Forum with the EkoTeko pop-up. This month has gone by really fast! I got the feeling that it would be nice to open up to you a little about what it's like to have a pop-up during the Christmas season and how it has affected my own life.

First, some of the good points.

In December, people seem to be almost constantly in a good mood and have a relaxed attitude in traffic. It doesn't bother anyone even if the seller is a little tired and slurs his words, or if there are many empty coffee cups and dog treats on the cash desk. Either it's the Christmas spirit, or our customers are just the most relaxed! The visits to Sepo have also been good these days. Kamu is really still at that age that it would be good to feed him three times a day. Because of this, one of them has been "forced" to visit Sepi in the middle of the working day. In general, this spin has lasted a couple of hours, because you have to hustle a bit with it... :)

Then again those challenges...

In the evenings, we are closed at 7 p.m., after which you can go home. At this point, my laundry room is only open for an hour, Sepi is already needing attention and it would be good to go to the store too, when there are only pickles, BBQ sauce and old milk left in the fridge. In other words, being at work from 11 to 19 can also be a bit challenging if you're not good at organizing things, or if you have a puppy waiting at home... At least I've put my healthy lifestyle on the back burner, vegetables have been replaced with coffee, and I haven't used my gym card for a month. Well, maybe now that more than 50 hours/week are freed from the weekly calendar, it's time to have fun again >:) So it's been nice, but also a long day. On Finland's birthday, we were also tempted to take a vacation, but otherwise every day has been at work. Fortunately, those long days have been cheered up by nice people and the Christmas spirit that has spread with them. Tomorrow morning I'm going to sleep really long and cook the first rice porridge of December! Okay, in reality, Seppo wakes me up before nine, but at least after that you can relax on the couch at home. On my behalf, I want to thank everyone who visited the pop-up and the guys who cheered us up, I hope that the holidays are starting to go well for you too! <3 I said, Eve
